Below is a preview of 'View the Day'. I automatically take a photo (from my studio in London) of the sky every quarter of an hour. The colour of each picture is averaged to get the overall average colour. Each horizontal line is one day and each coloured square of each line is one quarter of an hour. Started in January you can start to see the days getting longer as spring arrives creating a beautiful curve. I would like to get cameras set up around the world to record the curvature and sky colours from the various places especially sites with different climates.
I got a really nice message through my site about the work:
Dear Pete, My girl friend saw your web site and and wrote me an e-mail to say that she feels like she has lost her little things which are something that she doesn't know, not really matter how small they are or how they perceived, she said, but once you put them all together they get bigger and this is what makes herself, this is what its all about, and your beautiful work, `` View the Day` put a big small on our faces and has helped us to rethink what we dont pay attention as they are so small so little and so powerfull when they are all together. so we just wanted to say thank you for your beautiful work, Emrah & Sebnem
